The key characteristics of POTS are the specific symptoms and the exaggerated increase in heart rate when standing.

  • What are the different types of POTS? Hypovolemic POTS, Hyperadrenergic POTS, Neuropathic POTS, and Secondary POTS.

  • What are some common POTS symptoms? Fatigue, getting light-headed from sitting or standing a long time, "brain fog" (trouble focusing, remembering, or paying attention), feeling your heart pounding or skipping a beat, nausea, headaches, excessive sweating, feeling shaky, struggling with exercising or physical activities, pale face, purple hands or feet.
